- Senator Albert, under his constitutional right of protest (Art. 4, Sec. 18), protested against the passage of House Bill No. 5956 and moved that the statement he made during the discussion of the bill be printed as his reasons for voting “no.” The motion prevailed. Senator Albert’s statement is as follows: Not having sufficient time to conduct due diligence, I will be voting “no.” The following bill was read a third time: House Bill No. 5022, entitled A bill to amend 1967 PA 281, entitled “Income tax act of 1967,” by amending sections 254, 675, 813, 831, and 839 (MCL 206.254, 206.675, 206.813, 206.831, and 206.839), as added by 2021 PA 135.
