- following statement: “Mr. Speaker and members of the House: I voted no on House Bill 4667 because it is a needless solution to a manufactured issue. This state has not proposed the production, issuance or use of vaccine passports. Furthermore, this bill could have a chilling effect on people who are already hesitant to get the COVID-19 vaccine, which is our best weapon against the virus. We need to focus on getting as many people vaccinated as possible so we can defeat this pandemic once and for all.” House Bill No. 4451, entitled A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled “Michigan vehicle code,” by amending section 309 (MCL 257.309), as amended by 2020 PA 304.
