The motion prevailed, a majority of the members serving voting therefor. House Bill No. 4840, entitled A bill to amend 1954 PA 116, entitled “Michigan election law,” by amending sections 811 and 847 (MCL 168.811 and 168.847), section 811 as amended by 2018 PA 603 and section 847 as amended by 2012 PA 271. The bill was read a third time. The question being on the passage of the bill, Rep. Carra moved to amend the bill as follows: 1. Amend page 2, line 17, after “(4)” by striking out “All” and inserting “Except as otherwise provided by law, all”. The motion was seconded and the amendment was adopted, a majority of the members serving voting therefor.
