- “An act to authorize the growing and cultivating of industrial hemp for research and development purposes; to require and provide for the registration and licensing of certain persons engaged in the growing, processing, and handling of industrial hemp; to provide for the collection of fees; to authorize the receipt and expenditure of funding for research and development related to industrial hemp; to prescribe the powers and duties of certain state agencies and officials and colleges and universities in this state; and to provide for certain fines and sanctions,” The Senate agreed to the full title. The following bill was read a third time: House Bill No. 4745, entitled A bill to amend 2008 IL 1, entitled “Michigan Medical Marihuana Act,” by amending section 3 (MCL 333.26423), as amended by 2016 PA 283. The question being on the passage of the bill, Senator Santana offered the following amendment: 1. Amend page 6, following line 5, by inserting: “Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days after the date it is enacted into law.”. The amendment was adopted, a majority of the members serving voting therefor.
