Representative LaFave moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 12, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid SB 0002 before the committee: SB 0002 (Sen. Lucido) A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled "Public health code, "by amending section 7523 (MCL 333.7523), as amended by 2016 PA 418, and by adding section 7521a. Senator Lucido testified in support of SB 0002. Questions and discussion followed. Chairman Filler laid before the committee a presentation by the Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel. Attorney General Nessel gave a presentation to the committee. Questions and discussion followed. The Chair laid HB 4001 and HB 4002 before the committee: HB 4001 (Rep. Wentworth) A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled "Public health code, "by amending section 7521 (MCL 333.7521), as amended by 2015 PA 154, and by adding section 7521a. HB 4002 (Rep. LaGrand) A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled "Public health code, "by amending section 7523 (MCL 333.7523), as amended by 2016 PA 418, and by adding section 7523a. Representative Wentworth and Representative LaGrand testified in support of HB 4001 and HB 4002. Questions and discussion followed. The Chair laid SB 0002 before the committee along with the HB 4001 and HB 4002.
