- Representative Warren moved to adopt the meeting minutes from October 15, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. Representative Hertel introduced his guest, William Hertel, to the committee. The Chair laid HB 4208 before the committee: HB 4208 (Rep. Johnson) A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled "The revised school code, "by amending section 1249 (MCL 380.1249), as amended by 2018 PA 235. Representative Johnson testified in support of HB 4208. The following people submitted a card in opposition to HB 4208, but did not wish to speak: Bob Kefgen, representing the Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals. The Chair laid HB 4335 before the committee: HB 4335 (Rep. Yaroch) A bill to amend 1980 PA 299, entitled "Occupational code, "by amending sections 1110 and 1205 (MCL 339.1110 and 339.1205), section 1110 as amended by 2014 PA 137 and section 1205 as amended by 1997 PA 97. Representative Yaroch and Sam Boumis testified in support of HB 4335. Scott Weaver representing Douglas J. Aveda, testified in support of HB 4335. At 10:53 AM, the Chair laid the committee at ease.
