- Representative Lower moved to adopt the meeting minutes from October 10, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4958 and HB 5043 before the committee: HB 4958 (Rep. Hornberger) A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled “Public health code,"(MCL 333.1101 to 333.25211) by adding section 16279. HB 5043 (Rep. Vaupel) A bill to amend 1974 PA 258, entitled “Mental health code,” by amending sections 100b and 772 (MCL 330.1100b and 330.1772), section 100b as amended by 2014 PA 200 and section 772 as added by 1995 PA 290, and by adding section 206a; and to repeal acts and parts of acts. The following people submitted a card in support of HB 4958, but did not wish to speak: Sean Sorenson-Abbott, representing the Michigan Health and Hospital Association.
