- Representative Frederick moved to adopt the meeting minutes from December 5, 2019 and January 9, 2020. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid SCR 8 before the committee: SCR 8 (Sen. VanderWall) A concurrent resolution to declare Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) a critical health issue, commit the Legislature to action, and encourage the Governor to direct agencies to assess and report progress on reducing ACEs. Patrick Tiedt, representing Senator VanderWall, testified in support of SCR 8. Rick Murdock and Lisa Farnum, representing the Michigan Association of Health Plans Foundation, testified in support of SCR 8. Questions and discussion followed. James Gallant, representing Marquette County Suicide Prevention Coalition, testified in support of SCR 8.
