Wakeman, Wozniak, Rendon, Tisdel, Pohutsky, Camilleri, Brenda Carter, Aiyash. Nays: None. Pass: None. Representative Matt Hall, the bill sponsor, explained HB 4325 (H-1). Questions followed. Scott Wamsley, Deputy Director of the Aging and Adult Services Agency in the Michigan Department of Human and Health Services, testified in support of HB 4325 (H-1). Dr. David LaLumia, Executive Director for the Area Agencies on Aging Association of Michigan, submitted a card in support of HB 4325, but did not wish to speak. A copy of his written testimony is attached. The Chair laid SB 100 before the committee: SB 100 (Sen. Bizon) A bill to amend 1973 PA 116, entitled "An act to provide for the protection of children through the licensing and regulation of child care organizations; to provide for the establishment of standards of care for child care organizations; to prescribe powers and duties of certain departments of this state and adoption facilitators; to provide penalties; and to repeal acts and parts of acts," by amending section 13a (MCL 722.123a), as added by 2020 PA 8. David Biwas, Legislative Director for Senator John Bizon, M.D., the bill sponsor, explained SB 100. Soleil Campbell, Juvenile Justice Policy, Systems and Contracts Manager in the Michigan Department of Human Health Services, testified in support of SB 100.
