Kuppa) A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled "The Michigan penal code," (MCL 750.1 to 750.568) by adding section 145h. HB 4160 (Rep. Calley) A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled "The Michigan penal code," (MCL 750.1 to 750.568) by adding section 145i. Representative Padma Kuppa, the bill sponsor for HB 4159, and Representative Julie Calley, the bill sponsor for HB 4160, explained their bills. Dawn Hayes, Resource Room Teacher/Corner Collection Founder at Athens High School, testified in support of HB 4159 and HB 4160. A copy of her PowerPoint is attached. Nicole MacMillan, Assistant Attorney from the City of Troy Attorney's Office, testified in support of HB 4159 and HB 4160. Questions followed. Kristine Schule, Detective for City of Troy's Police Department, testified in support of HB 4159 and HB 4160. Dr. Richard Machesky, PhD, Troy School District Superintendent, testified in support of HB 4159 and HB 4160. Annemarie Kelly, JD, LLM, Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Administration, Christina Marsack-Topolewski, PhD, LMSW, at Eastern Michigan University's College of Health and Human Services and testified in support of HB 4159 and HB 4160. A copy of their PowerPoint is attached. The following individuals submitted a card in opposition to HB 4159 and HB 4160, but did not wish to speak: Kimberly S. Buddin, Policy Counsel for the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan, and Jean Doss, representing the Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence. A copy of her written handout is attached. The following individuals submitted a card in support of HB 4159 and HB 4160, but did not wish to speak: Sherri Boyd, representing The Arc Michigan, Rebecca J.
