Representative Hood offered the following amendments to HB 5783 (H-1): 1. Amend page 33, following line 9, by inserting: Earned income tax credit grant program 370,000,000 and adjusting the subtotals, totals, and section 201 accordingly. 2. Amend page 174, following line 28, by inserting: "Sec. 979m. From the funds appropriated in part 1 for the earned income tax credit grant program, the department of treasury shall distribute grant payments equal to a 14.0% increase in the earned income tax credit to each individual that filed a Michigan income tax return and claimed an earned income tax credit in 2022.".
