The Chair laid HB 4064 and SB 63 before the committee: HB 4064 (Rep. Brenda Carter) A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled "The revised school code," (MCL 380.1 to 380.1852) by adding section 1164c. SB 63 (Sen. Polehanki) A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled "The revised school code," by amending section 1212 (MCL 380.1212), as amended by 2016 PA 319. The Committee adopted amendments to HB 4064 at the March 7th, 2023 meeting. The following person submitted a card in support of HB 4064, but did not wish to speak: Dr. Sheryl Kennedy, representing the Michigan Department of Education.
