- Representative Breen moved to adopt the meeting minutes from May 10, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4346 before the committee: HB 4346 (Rep. Coleman) A bill to amend 1976 PA 267, entitled "Open meetings act," by amending section 3a (MCL 15.263a), as amended by 2021 PA 54. Representative Coleman testified in support of HB 4346. Questions and discussion followed. Don Taylor, representing the Retired Detroit Police & Fire Fighters Association, testified in support of HB 4346. Questions and discussion followed. The following people submitted a card in support of HB 4346, but did not wish to speak: Brad Biladeau, representing the Municipal Employees Retirement System of Michigan. Noah Smith, representing the Michigan Association of Public Retirement Systems. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Fitzgerald adjourned the meeting at 12:22 PM.
