- Representative Paiz moved to adopt the meeting minutes from October 4, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4857 and HB 4011 before the committee: HB 4857 (Rep. Steckloff) A bill to amend 1941 PA 359, entitled "An act for controlling and eradicating certain noxious weeds within the state; to permit townships, villages, and cities to have a lien for expenses incurred in controlling and eradicating such weeds; to permit officials of counties and municipalities to appoint commissioners of noxious weeds; to define the powers, duties, and compensation of commissioners; to provide for sanctions; and to repeal certain acts and parts of acts," by amending section 2 (MCL 247.62), as amended by 2010 PA 358. HB 4011 (Rep. Neyer) A bill to amend 1974 PA 154, entitled "Michigan occupational safety and health act," by amending section 35 (MCL 408.1035), as amended by 1991 PA 105. Representative Neyer and Ben Tirrell, representing the Michigan Farm Bureau, testified in support of HB 4011. Questions and discussion followed.
