- Representative Wegela moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 6, 2024. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5433 before the committee: HB 5433 (Rep. Snyder) A bill to create a Tricare premium reimbursement program; and to provide for the powers and duties of certain state governmental officers and entities. Representative Snyder and Senator Singh testified in support of HB 5433. Questions and discussion followed. Brigadier General Ravi Wagh and Lieutenant Colonel Karen Sims testified in support of HB 5433. Questions and discussion followed. The following people submitted a card in support of HB 5433, but did not wish to speak: Heather Feuerstein, representing the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. Tim Poxson, representing the American Legion Department of Michigan. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Conlin adjourned the meeting at 12:24 PM.
