Representative Steele moved to adopt the amendment to HB 5517. The motion did not prevail 11-17-0: UNFAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Bollin, Green, Slagh, Beson, Borton, Fink, Cavitt, DeBoer, Kuhn, Schuette, Steele. Nays: Reps. Witwer, O'Neal, Brixie, Hood, Brabec, Morse, Puri, Steckloff, Weiss, Martus, McKinney, Mentzer, Morgan, Price, Skaggs, Snyder, Wilson. Pass: None. Representative Borton offered the following amendment to HB 5517: 1. Amend page 24, following line 12, by inserting: "Sec. 389. Within 30 days of entering into a long-term agreement with a private contractor, a public agency, or a partnership between 1 or more private contractors or public agencies, the department shall notify the state budget director, the house and senate appropriations subcommittees on transportation, and the house and senate fiscal agencies of the agreement, including the subject of the agreement, the term of the agreement, and financial obligations under the agreement. As used in this section, “long-term agreement” means an agreement that obligates the department for a period of 5 years or more and that actually or contingently obligates the department to make payments over the contract period of $5,000,000.00 or more.".
