Hope, Andrews, Tyrone Carter, Breen, Young, Arbit, Dievendorf, Tsernoglou. Nays: Reps. Mueller, Bezotte, BeGole. Pass: None. The Chair laid HB 4385 before the committee: HB 4385 (Rep. Markkanen) A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled "Natural resources and environmental protection act," by amending section 1602 (MCL 324.1602), as added by 1995 PA 60, and by adding section 1507. Representative Markkanen and Beau LaFave testified together in support of HB 4385. Questions and discussion followed. The following person submitted a card in opposition to HB 4385, but did not wish to speak: Chris Semrinec, representing the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
