Pass: None. The Chair laid HB 5341 and HB 5342 before the committee: HB 5341 (Rep. BeGole) A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled "Michigan vehicle code," by amending sections 2 and 698 (MCL 257.2 and 257.698), section 2 as amended by 2011 PA 231 and section 698 as amended by 2020 PA 382. HB 5342 (Rep. Shannon) A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled "Michigan vehicle code," by amending section 312e (MCL 257.312e), as amended by 2022 PA 193. Representative Begole and Trent Atkins, representing Mutual Aid Box Alarm System, testified in support of HB 5341 and HB 5342. Questions and discussion followed.
