- Representative Neeley moved to report out SB 562 with recommendation, as substitute (H-1). The motion prevailed 8-3-2: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Hoskins, Grant, Whitsett, Neeley, Liberati, Coffia, Farhat, Miller. Nays: Reps. Tisdel, VanWoerkom, St. Germaine. Pass: Reps. Martin, Roth. The following people submitted a card in support of SB 559 and SB 562, but did not wish to speak: Deena Bosworth, representing the Michigan Association of Counties. Sam Champagne, representing Henry Ford Health. Representative Martin offered the following amendment to HB 5768: 1. Amend page 2, line 5, after "125.1458a." by inserting "It is the intent of the legislature that the money deposited under this subdivision must not be used to provide any services, grants, or other program assistance to a recipient who is not a United States citizen unless that recipient is a qualified alien as that term is defined under 8 USC 1641.".
