- Representative Farhat moved to adopt the amendment to HB 4580. The motion did not prevail 13-16-0: UNFAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. DeSana, Farhat, O'Neal, Rogers, Steckloff, Glanville, Edwards, Martus, McKinney, Morgan, Price, Snyder and Longjohn. Nays: Reps. Bollin, Maddock, Phil Green, Jenkins-Arno, Kelly, Markkanen, Mueller, Slagh, VanWoerkom, Beson, Borton, Roth, Cavitt, Kuhn, Steele and Robinson. Pass: None. Representative Longjohn offered the following amendments to HB 4580: 1. Amend page 4, line 17, by striking out the “$39,096,200.00” and inserting “$40,675,500.00” and adjusting the totals and subtotals in section 236 and enacting section 1 accordingly. 2. Amend page 57, following line 22, by inserting: “ Sec. 264. Included in the appropriation in section 236 for fiscal year 2025-2026 for Michigan State University is $80,000.00 for the Michigan Future Farmers of America Association. This $80,000.00 allocation must not supplant any existing support that Michigan State University provides to the Michigan Future Farmers of America Association.”.
