The Chair laid HB 5104 and HB 5106 before the committee: HB 5104 (Rep. Grant) A bill to amend 2016 PA 281, entitled "Medical marihuana facilities licensing act," by amending sections 102 and 402 (MCL 333.27102 and 333.27402), section 102 as amended by 2021 PA 57 and section 402 as amended by 2021 PA 161. HB 5106 (Rep. Neyer) A bill to amend 2018 IL 1, entitled "Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act," by amending section 7 (MCL 333.27957), as amended by 2023 PA 166. Derek Sova, representing the Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency, testified in support of HB 5104 and HB 5106. Questions and discussions followed. Cassin Coleman, representing NORML of Michigan and the Cannabis Consumer Advocacy, testified in opposition to HB 5104 and HB 5106. Questions and discussions followed.
