Representative Snyder moved to adopt the amendments to HB 5619. The motion did not prevail 12-16-0: UNFAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Tate, O'Neal, Rogers, Steckloff, Glanville, Edwards, Farhat, Martus, McKinney, Morgan, Snyder and Longjohn. Nays: Reps. Bollin, Maddock, Phil Green, Jenkins-Arno, Kelly, Markkanen, Mueller, Slagh, VanWoerkom, Beson, Borton, Roth, Cavitt, Kuhn, Steele and Robinson. Pass: None. Representative Snyder offered the following amendments to HB 5619: 1. Amend page 846, following line 26, by inserting: Rural trooper housing incentives 6,000,000 and adjusting the subtotals, totals, and section 201 accordingly. 2. Amend page 847, following line 1, by inserting: Special revenue funds: Budget stabilization fund 6,000,000 and adjusting the subtotals, totals, and section 201 accordingly. 3. Amend page 887, following line 29, by inserting: "Sec. 703. (1) From the funds appropriated in part 1 for rural trooper housing incentives, the department shall create an administer a rural trooper housing incentive program to provide housing stipends, relocation bonuses, or both to Michigan state police troopers who relocate to rural, remote, or underserved areas. (2) Not later than March 15 and September 15, the department shall submit a report to the standard report recipients that includes, but is not limited to, all of the following: (a) The total dollar amount of all housing stipends and relocation bonuses issued through the rural trooper housing incentive program created in subsection (1). (b) The number of Michigan state police troopers who received housing stipends, relocation bonuses, or both through the rural trooper housing incentive program created in subsection (1), broken down by Michigan state police post or detachment.".
