- Representative DeBoyer moved to report out HB 5499 with recommendation, as substitute (H-1). The motion prevailed 7-3-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Hoadley, Bohnak, Outman, Harris, BeGole, DeBoyer and St. Germaine. Nays: Reps. Grant, Brixie and Tate. Pass: None. The following person submitted a card in support of HB 5498 and HB 5499, but did not wish to speak: Joshua Scramlin, representing the Michigan Farm Bureau. The Chair laid HB 5099 and HB 5100 before the committee: HB 5099 (Rep. Tyrone Carter) A bill to amend 1985 PA 106, entitled "State convention facility development act," by amending sections 10 and 20 (MCL 207.630 and 207.640), as amended by 2022 PA 276. HB 5100 (Rep. Aragona) A bill to amend 2008 PA 554, entitled "Regional convention facility authority act," by amending section 11 (MCL 141.1361), as amended by 2009 PA 63. Representative Tyrone Carter, joined by Bryan Crowe and Claude Molinari, representing the Detroit Regional Convention Facility Authority (Huntington Place), testified in support of HB 5099 and HB 5100.
