Representative Kunse moved to adopt the meeting minutes from April 30, 2026. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5645 before the committee: HB 5645 (Rep. Phil Green) A bill to amend 2000 PA 190, entitled "Privately owned cervidae producers marketing act," by amending sections 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, and 17 (MCL 287.952, 287.953, 287.954, 287.956, 287.957, 287.958, 287.959, 287.960, 287.961, 287.964, and 287.967), as amended by 2006 PA 561. Representative Green and Ryan Halfman, representing the United Deer Farmers of Michigan, testified in support of HB 5645. Questions and discussion followed. The following person submitted a card in support of HB 5645, but did not wish to speak: Justin Tomei, representing the MI Farm Bureau.
