Representative Wozniak moved to adopt the meeting minutes from April 30, 2026. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5105 and HB 5107 before the committee: HB 5105 (Rep. Wendzel) A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled "Public health code," by amending section 7401 (MCL 333.7401), as amended by 2016 PA 548. HB 5107 (Rep. Hoadley) A bill to amend 2018 IL 1, entitled "Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act," by amending sections 5 and 15 (MCL 333.27955 and 333.27965). Ashley Steffan and Scott Teter, both representing the Michigan Department of Attorney General, testified in support of HB 5105 and HB 5107. Questions and discussions followed. Cassin Coleman, representing the MiNORML / Cannabis Consumer Advocacy, testified in opposition to HB 5105 and HB 5107.
