- Representative VanderWall moved to report out HB 5124 with recommendation. The motion prevailed 4-1-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. BeGole, Harris, VanderWall and Fitzgerald. Nays: Rep. McFall. Pass: None. The Chair laid SB 102 before the committee: SB 102 (Sen. Wojno) A bill to amend 1895 PA 161, entitled "An act to require county treasurers to furnish transcripts and abstracts of records, and fixing the fees to be paid therefor," by amending section 1 (MCL 48.101), as amended by 2022 PA 215. Bill Drake, representing the Office of Senator Wojno, testified in support of SB 102. Beth Wanless, representing Zillow, testified in support of SB 102. Questions and discussions followed. The following people submitted a card in support of SB 102, but did not wish to speak: Brad Ward, representing the Michigan Realtors. Randy Gross, representing the Michigan Chamber. The Chair laid HB 5506 before the committee: HB 5506 (Rep. Kuhn) A bill to amend 1978 PA 472, entitled "An act to regulate political activity; to regulate lobbyists, lobbyist agents, and lobbying activities; to require registration of lobbyists and lobbyist agents; to require the filing of reports; to prescribe the powers and duties of the department of state; to prescribe penalties; and to repeal certain acts and parts of acts," (MCL 4.411 to 4.431) by adding section 6b.
