BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7670 FAX: (517) 373-5958 DRAFT COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 8, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Local Government was scheduled for Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 102 (Sen. Wojno) with recommendation. The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:31 p.m. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Klinefelt, Sen.(s) Wojno, Bayer, and Daley, a quorum was present. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Wojno to adopt the meeting minutes from February 25, 2025. Without objection the minutes were adopted. The Chair brought up SB 102, and invited Sen. Wojno to summarize the bill. The Chair invited the following individual to present testimony regarding SB 102: Beth Wanless, Zillow - Support The cards were read of those individuals not wishing to present testimony regarding SB 102: Brian O’Connell, MI Association of County Treasurers - Support The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Wojno to report SB 102 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Klinefelt, Sen.(s) Wojno, Bayer, and Daley Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair moved to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen.(s) Moss, Shink and Hoitenga were excused from the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee. Without objection, the committee was adjourned at 4:11 p.m.
