REGGIE MILLER CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, November 13, 2024 9:00 AM Room 327, House Office Building The House Committee on Agriculture was called to order by Chair Miller. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Miller, Paiz, Young, Coffia, Conlin, Dievendorf, Fitzgerald, Rheingans, Neyer, VanderWall, Roth, Bierlein, Smit. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Young moved to adopt the meeting minutes from June 12, 2024. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4849 before the committee: HB 4849 (Rep. Koleszar) A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled "Public health code," by amending sections 2674, 2675, and 2678 (MCL 333.2674, 333.2675, and 333.2678) and by adding sections 2670 and 2675a; and to repeal acts and parts of acts. Representative Koleszar testified in support of HB 4849. Representative Young moved to adopt substitute (H-1) to HB 4849. The motion prevailed 8- 5-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Miller, Paiz, Young, Coffia, Conlin, Dievendorf, Fitzgerald, Rheingans. Nays: Reps. Neyer, VanderWall, Roth, Bierlein, Smit. Pass: None.
