JOHN FITZGERALD CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, November 13, 2024 12:00 PM Room 519, House Office Building The House Committee on Local Government and Municipal Finance was called to order by Chair Fitzgerald. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Fitzgerald, Byrnes, Shannon, Breen, Rogers, Hill, Hoskins, Paiz, Zorn, Paquette, Bezotte, BeGole, Prestin. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Paiz moved to adopt the meeting minutes from June 12, 2024. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid SB 705 and HB 5542 before the committee: SB 705 (Sen. Wojno) A bill to amend 1895 PA 161, entitled "An act to require county treasurers to furnish transcripts and abstracts of records, and fixing the fees to be paid therefor," by amending section 1 (MCL 48.101), as amended by 2022 PA 215. HB 5542 (Rep.
