- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON AGRICULTURE REP. JERRY NEYER CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES The House Committee on Agriculture was called to order by Chair Neyer. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Neyer, Wortz, Lightner, Alexander, Fox, Kunse, Pavlov, Paiz, Dievendorf, Rheingans and Skaggs. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Kunse moved to adopt the meeting minutes from April 24, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The chair laid a presentation from the Michigan Sugar Company before the committee. John Boothroyd, representing the Michigan Sugar Company, gave a presentation. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Rheingans, along with Roger LaBine, who represents the Lake Superior Chippewa Tribe, gave a presentation on Manoomin, a Native wild rice. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Neyer adjourned the meeting at 11:21 AM.
