FELICIA BRABEC CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, March 16, 2023 9:00 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Health Policy Subcommittee on Behavioral Health was called to order by Chair Brabec. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Brabec, Arbit, Pohutsky, Glanville, Edwards, Rheingans, Schmaltz, Hoadley, St. Germaine, Thompson. Absent: Rep. MacDonell. Excused: Rep. MacDonell. Representative Arbit moved to adopt the meeting minutes from March 2, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. Follow up Q & A with Alan Bolter, Associate Director of the Community Mental Health Association of Michigan; Trish Cortes, Executive Director of Washtenaw County Community Mental Health; and Lisa Williams, Executive Director of West Michigan Community Mental Health. Chair Brabec laid before the committee a presentation by Michael Garrett, President and CEO of CNS Healthcare. Questions and discussion followed. Chair Brabec laid before the committee a presentation by Kari Walker, President and CEO of The Guidance Center. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Schmaltz moved to excuse Representative MacDonell from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. There being no further business before the subcommittee, Chair Brabec adjourned the meeting at 10:24 AM.
