FELICIA BRABEC CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, March 23, 2023 9:00 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Health Policy Subcommittee on Behavioral Health was called to order by Chair Brabec. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Brabec, Arbit, Pohutsky, Glanville, Edwards, MacDonell, Rheingans, Schmaltz, Hoadley, St. Germaine, Thompson. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Schmaltz moved to adopt the meeting minutes from March 16, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. Chair Brabec laid before the committee a presentation by Sheryl Kubiak, Dean and Professor, Director of Center for Behavioral Health and Justice, at Wayne State University. Questions and discussion followed. Chair Brabec laid before the committee a presentation by Clare Luz, PhD, Associate Professor at MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine and founding director of MSU AgeAlive and IMPART Alliance. Questions and discussion followed. Chair Brabec laid before the committee a presentation by Bob Stein, General Counsel for Michigan Assisted Living Association. Questions and discussion followed. There being no further business before the subcommittee, Chair Brabec adjourned the meeting at 10:23 AM.
