- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON HEALTH POLICY SUBCOMMITTEE ON BEHAVIORAL HEALTH REP. FELICIA BRABEC CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, May 16, 2024 9:00 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Health Policy Subcommittee on Behavioral Health was called to order by Chair Brabec. The Clerk read in letters from Speaker Tate removing Representative Glanville from the committee and appointing Representative Herzberg to the committee. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Brabec, Pohutsky, Edwards, MacDonell, Rheingans, Hoadley, St. Germaine, Thompson. Absent: Reps. Arbit, Herzberg, Schmaltz. Excused: Reps. Arbit, Herzberg, Schmaltz. Representative Edwards joined the committee remotely. Representative Rheingans moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 29, 2024. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid a presentation on workplace mental health before the committee. Randall Harrison, Jayshona Hicks and Sean Egan, all representing the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, gave a presentation on workplace mental health. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Pohutsky moved to excuse Representatives Arbit, Herzberg and Schmaltz from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. There being no further business before the subcommittee, Chair Brabec adjourned the meeting at 10:08 AM.
