The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Brabec, Arbit, Pohutsky, Edwards, MacDonell, Rheingans, Herzberg, Schmaltz, St. Germaine, Thompson. Absent: Rep. Hoadley. Excused: Rep. Hoadley. Representative Pohutsky moved to adopt the meeting minutes from June 13, 2024. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5371 and HB 5372 before the committee: HB 5371 (Rep. Brabec) A bill to amend 1939 PA 280, entitled "The social welfare act," (MCL 400.1 to 400.119b) by adding section 109o. HB 5372 (Rep. Phil Green) A bill to amend 1939 PA 280, entitled "The social welfare act," (MCL 400.1 to 400.119b) by adding section 109p. Representative Edwards moved to adopt substitute (H-3) to HB 5371. The motion prevailed 10-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Representative Edwards moved to excuse Representative Hoadley from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. There being no further business before the subcommittee, Chair Brabec adjourned the meeting at 9:38 AM.
