- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON HEALTH POLICY REP. BRONNA KAHLE CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, February 4, 2021 10:30 AM Room 352, House Appropriations, State Capitol Building The House Committee on Health Policy was called to order by Chair Kahle. The Clerk read a letter from House Speaker Jason Wentworth which appointed members of the House Health Policy Committee. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Kahle, Meerman, Whiteford, Alexander, Allor, Hauck, Filler, Mueller, Beeler, Fink, Roth, Tisdel, Witwer, Clemente, Pohutsky, Stone, Whitsett, Neeley, Morse. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Meerman moved to adopt Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in room 519 of the House Office Building as the day, time, and location for regularly scheduled meetings of the House Health Policy Committee. The motion prevailed 18-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Kahle, Meerman, Whiteford, Alexander, Allor, Hauck, Mueller, Beeler, Fink, Roth, Tisdel, Witwer, Clemente, Pohutsky, Stone, Whitsett, Neeley, Morse. Nays: None. Pass: None. Chair Kahle announced that the House Health Policy Committee will follow Chapter IV, as stated in the House Standing Rules, that were adopted on the House Floor. Chair Kahle laid before the committee a presentation by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization. Amy Walker, Director of Infectious Diseases Policy, representing the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, gave a presentation to the committee. Questions and discussion followed. Chair Kahle laid before the committee a presentation by Pfizer. Kevin Orr and Lisa Coen, both representing Pfizer, gave a presentation to the committee. Questions and discussion followed. Chair Kahle laid before the committee a presentation by the Michigan Chamber of Commerce. Wendy Block, representing the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, gave a presentation to the committee. Questions and discussion followed. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Kahle adjourned the meeting at 11:26 AM.
