- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON COMMUNICATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY REP. JAIME GREENE CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES The House Committee on Communications and Technology was called to order by Chair Jaime Greene. The Clerk read a letter dated January 30th, 2025, from House Speaker Matt Hall which appointed members of the Committee on Communication and Technology. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Greene, Kunse, Schmaltz, Schriver, Fairbairn, Linting, Scott, Andrews and Skaggs. Absent: Reps. Wendzel and Arbit. Excused: Reps. Wendzel and Arbit. Chair Greene stated that the House Communication and Technology Committee will follow the Uniform Committee Rules, stated in the House Standing Rules, that were adopted on the House Floor. Chair Greene offered the following proposed committee rule: At the discretion of the committee chair, a member of the public may address the committee regarding business before the committee. The committee may accept written testimony in lieu of oral testimony. Representative Kunse moved to adopt the proposed committee rule. The motion prevailed 9-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Greene, Kunse, Schmaltz, Schriver, Fairbairn, Linting, Scott, Andrews and Skaggs. Nays: None. Pass: None. Representative Scott moved to adopt Tuesday at 10:30 am in room 327 of the House Office Building as the normal day, time, and location for meetings of the House Communication and Technology Committee The motion prevailed 9-0-0: Tuesday, February 25, 2025 10:30 AM Room 327, House Office Building FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Jaime Greene, Kunse, Schmaltz, Schriver, Fairbairn, Linting, Scott, Andrews and Skaggs. Nays: None. Pass: None. Representative Scott moved to excuse Reps. Wendzel and Arbit from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Jaime Greene adjourned the meeting at 10:34 AM.
