- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON COMMUNICATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY REP. JAIME GREENE CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES The House Committee on Communications and Technology was called to order by Chair Jaime Greene. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Jaime Greene, Kunse, Wendzel, Schmaltz, Schriver, Fairbairn, Linting, Scott, Andrews, Arbit, and Skaggs. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Schriver moved to adopt the meeting minutes from March 11, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid presentations on digital currencies before the committee. Tyler Lindholm, representing the Wyoming Blockchain Taskforce, gave a presentation. Questions and discussion followed. Lee Bratcher, representing the Texas Blockchain Council, gave a presentation on Bitcoin and other digital currency. Questions and discussion followed. Dr. Edward Longe, Private Sector Chair, Communication and Technology, American Legislative Exchange Council, and Director of the National Strategy and Director of the Center for Technology and Innovation, gave presentation. Questions and discussion followed. Jake Morabito, Director of Communications and Technology at ALEC, gave presentation. Questions and discussion followed. Patrica Herndon, representing the Michigan Bankers Association, gave a presentation about financial and digital currency fraud. Questions and discussions followed. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Jaime Greene adjourned the meeting at 11:33 AM.
