HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON ELECTION INTEGRITY REP. RACHELLE SMIT CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES The House Committee on Election Integrity was called to order by Chair Smit. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Smit, Fox, Outman, Alexander, Hoadley, Pavlov, Wooden, Koleszar and Xiong. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Fox moved to adopt the meeting minutes from May 06, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid a presentation by Check My Vote before the committee. Phani Mantravadi, gave an overview of Check My Vote. Questions and discussions followed. The Chair laid HB 4356 before the committee: Representative Hoadley testified in support of HB 4356. Kathy Pittsley, the Baldwin Township Clerk, testified in support of HB 4356. Questions and discussions followed. Representative DeBoyer testified in support of HB 4356. Representative Hoadley returned to testify in support of HB 4356. Questions and discussions followed. Tuesday, May 13, 2025 9:00 AM Room 307, House Office Building HB 4356 (Rep. Hoadley) A bill to amend 1954 PA 116, entitled "Michigan election law," by amending section 509bb (MCL 168.509bb), as added by 1994 PA 441. Erin Schor, representing the Michigan Department of State, testified with no position on HB 4356. The following person submitted a card wishing to speak with a neutral position on HB 4356, but due to the time constraints were unable to speak: Pam Tobin, representing themselves. The following person submitted a card wishing to speak in support of HB 4356, but due to the time constraints were unable to speak: Sandra Carolan, representing the Concerned Bipartisan Patriots. The following people submitted a card support of HB 4356: Michele Pfisher, representing themselves. Dee Davey, representing the Salem Meet-Up.
