- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON FAMILIES AND VETERANS REP. KATHY SCHMALTZ CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES The House Committee on Families and Veterans was called to order by Chair Schmaltz. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Schmaltz, Wozniak, Fox, Johnsen, Woolford, Young, Byrnes, Rheingans and Xiong. Absent: Reps. Thompson and Pavlov. Excused: Reps. Thompson and Pavlov. Representative Xiong moved to adopt the meeting minutes from May 06, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid a presentation on Veterans and Organizations that Support Veterans and their Families before the Committee. Bobby Brite gave a presentation on Veterans and Organizations that Support Veterans and their Families. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Johnsen moved to excuse Representatives Thompson and Pavlov from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Schmaltz adjourned the meeting at 12:40 PM.
