- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON COMMUNICATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY REP. JAIME GREENE CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES The House Committee on Communications and Technology was called to order by Chair Jaime Greene. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Jaime Greene, Kunse, Wendzel, Schmaltz, Schriver, Fairbairn, Linting, Scott, Andrews, Arbit, and Skaggs. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Schmaltz moved to adopt the meeting minutes from May 13, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. David Lewis, State President of AT&T and Brent Schroeder, FirstNet Territory Manager for Michigan AT&T, spoke to the committee and provided insights into AT&T's work and the progress of FirstNet. The chair laid a presentation from the Michigan High Speed Internet Office (MIHI) before the committee. Brennan Smith, Deputy Director, Legislative Affairs, LEO and Eric Frederick, Chief Connectivity Officer representing MIHI gave a presentation. Question and discussion followed. Dee Jones, representing Jump Ahead/L3C/Play Fuel Token, testified in support of Satoshi Action Fund and crypto currency. Eric Peterson, Policy Director, representing Satoshi Action Fund, spoke to the committee on digital asset management. Questions and discussion followed. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Jaime Greene adjourned the meeting at 11:31 AM.
