- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON COMMUNICATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY REP. MICHELE HOITENGA CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, June 9, 2021 10:30 AM Room 307, House Office Building The House Committee on Communications and Technology was called to order by Chair Hoitenga. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Hoitenga, Damoose, Griffin, Hauck, Reilly, Wozniak, Bezotte, Coleman, Haadsma, Aiyash, Scott. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Hauck moved to adopt the minutes from the May 26th, 2021 meeting. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4422 before the committee: HB 4422 (Rep. Hoitenga) A bill to amend 1993 PA 354, entitled "Railroad code of 1993," by amending sections 265 and 441 (MCL 462.265 and 462.441) and by adding sections 111, 265a, 265b, and 265c. Representative Hauck moved to adopt substitute (H-1) to HB 4422. The motion prevailed 9- 0-1: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Hoitenga, Griffin, Hauck, Reilly, Wozniak, Bezotte, Coleman, Haadsma, Scott. Nays: None. Pass: Rep. Aiyash. Chris O'Neil, representing HomeWorks Tri-County Electric Cooperative, testified in support of HB 4422 (H-1). Questions and discussion followed. Steven Johnson) A bill to amend 1984 PA 431, entitled "The management and budget act," (MCL 18.1101 to 18.1594) by adding section 270. Representative Griffin moved to adopt substitute (H-1) to HB 4778. The motion prevailed 11- 0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps.
