- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON JUDICIARY REP. SARAH LIGHTNER CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES The House Committee on Judiciary was called to order by Chair Lightner. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Lightner, BeGole, Wozniak, Harris, DeBoyer, Johnsen, Schuette, Tyrone Carter, Hope and Breen. Absent: Rep. Scott. Excused: Rep. Scott. Representative DeBoyer moved to adopt the meeting minutes from May 07, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4262 and HB 4263 before the committee: Representative Harris and Representative McFall testified in support of HB 4262 and HB 4263. Questions and discussions followed. The following person submitted a card in support of HB 4262 and HB 4263, but did not wish to speak: Evie Z.Sweeney, representing Live Nation. The following person submitted a card with a neutral position on HB 4262 and HB 4263, but did not wish to speak: Wednesday, May 21, 2025 10:30 AM Room 521, House Office Building HB 4262 (Rep. Harris) A bill to provide for certain investigations for violating the event online ticket sales act; to prescribe the powers and duties of certain state agencies and departments; and to prescribe civil sanctions and provide certain remedies. HB 4263 (Rep. McFall) A bill to regulate the online sale of tickets for entertainment events; and to prohibit certain methods, acts, and practices in the sale or purchase of tickets for entertainment events.
