ROGER HAUCK CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, September 14, 2021 Room 519, House Office Building The House Committee on Regulatory Reform was called to order by the Chair. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Hauck, Hoitenga, Bellino, Hall, Mueller, Clements, Damoose, Outman, Hertel, Jones, Yancey, Garza, Witwer, Steenland. Absent: Rep. Wendzel. Excused: Rep. Wendzel. Representative Hall moved to adopt the meeting minutes from June 22, 2021. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4711 before the committee: HB 4711 (Rep. Hall) A bill to amend 1998 PA 58, entitled "Michigan liquor control code of 1998," by amending section 513 (MCL 436.1513), as amended by 2020 PA 121. Representative Hall testified in support of HB 4711. Questions and discussion followed. Shaun Willis and Sam Gilbertson, representing the Northwoods League, testified in support of HB 4711. Questions and discussion followed. The following people submitted a card in support of HB 4711, but did not wish to speak: Bonnie Bochniak, representing the Oakland University. Chad Wing, representing the Eastern Michigan University. The Chair laid HB 4183 before the committee: HB 4183 (Rep. O'Neal) A bill to amend 1917 PA 167, entitled "Housing law of Michigan," by amending section 132 (MCL 125.532), as amended by 2000 PA 479. Representative Outman moved to adopt substitute (H-2) to HB 4183. The motion prevailed 14-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps.
