- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON ELECTIONS AND ETHICS REP. ANN BOLLIN CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, September 21, 2021 12:00 PM Room 326, House Office Building The House Committee on Elections and Ethics was called to order by Chair Bollin. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Bollin, Wendzel, Calley, Steven Johnson, Filler, Koleszar, Whitsett. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Koleszar moved to adopt the meeting minutes from September 14, 2021. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5258, HB 5252, HB 5288 and HB 5268 before the committee: HB 5258 (Rep. Koleszar) A bill to amend 1954 PA 116, entitled "Michigan election law," by amending sections 565, 710, and 711 (MCL 168.565, 168.710, and 168.711), sections 565 and 711 as amended by 1984 PA 113. HB 5252 (Rep. Slagh) A bill to amend 1954 PA 116, entitled "Michigan election law," by amending section 475 (MCL 168.475), as amended by 1999 PA 219. HB 5288 (Rep. Beeler) A bill to amend 1954 PA 116, entitled "Michigan election law," by amending section 759 (MCL 168.759), as amended by 2020 PA 302. HB 5268 (Rep. Calley) A bill to amend 1954 PA 116, entitled "Michigan election law," by amending section 759 (MCL 168.759), as amended by 2020 PA 302. Representative Koleszar, testified in support of HB 5258.
