ROGER HAUCK CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, September 28, 2021 10:30 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Committee on Regulatory Reform was called to order by Chair Hauck. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Hauck, Hoitenga, Bellino, Hall, Mueller, Wendzel, Clements, Damoose, Outman, Hertel, Yancey, Garza, Witwer, Steenland. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Yancey joined the committee remotely. Representative Hoitenga moved to adopt the meeting minutes from September 21, 2021. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5062 before the committee: HB 5062 (Rep. Bolden) A bill to amend 1998 PA 58, entitled "Michigan liquor control code of 1998," by amending section 521a (MCL 436.1521a), as amended by 2014 PA 270. Representative Bolden testified in support of HB 5060. Questions and discussion followed. The following people submitted a card in support of HB 5062, but did not wish to speak: Alexa Kramer, representing the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce. Outman) A bill to amend 1998 PA 58, entitled "Michigan liquor control code of 1998," (MCL 436.1101 to 436.2303) by adding section 552. Representative Clements testified in support of HB 5090. The Chair laid HB 5260 before the committee: HB 5260 (Rep. Witwer) A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled "Michigan vehicle code," by amending section 248l (MCL 257.248l), as added by 2018 PA 420. Representative Damoose moved to report out HB 5260 with recommendation. The motion prevailed 12-0-1: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Hauck, Bellino, Hall, Mueller, Wendzel, Clements, Damoose, Outman, Hertel, Garza, Witwer, Steenland. Nays: None. Pass: Rep. Hoitenga.
