- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS REP. BRIAN BEGOLE CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES The House Committee on Government Operations was called to order by Chair BeGole. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. BeGole, Harris, VanderWall, Fitzgerald and McFall. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Harris moved to adopt the meeting minutes from May 15, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4303 before the committee: Representative Kuhn testified in support of HB 4303. Questions and discussions followed. The following person submitted a card in support of HB 4303, but did not wish to speak: Martin Manna, representing the Chaldean Chamber of Commerce. The Chair laid HB 4390 and HB 4391 before the committee: Thursday, May 22, 2025 9:00 AM Room 307, House Office Building HB 4303 (Rep. Kuhn) A bill to designate the month of May of each year as Chaldean American Month. HB 4390 (Rep. BeGole) A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled "Michigan vehicle code," by amending sections 43b and 319b (MCL 257.43b and 257.319b), section 43b as added by 2016 PA 243 and section 319b as amended by 2023 PA 39, and by adding section 36d. HB 4391 (Rep. Rogers) A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled "Michigan vehicle code," by amending sections 625a, 625c, and 625g (MCL 257.625a, 257.625c, and 257.625g), sections 625a and 625g as amended by 2021 PA 85 Representative VanderWall moved to adopt substitute (H-2) to HB 4391. Pass: None. Representative BeGole moved to report out HB 4391 with recommendation that the substitute (H-2) be adopted.
