STEVEN JOHNSON CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, October 28, 2021 10:30 AM Room 326, House Office Building The House Committee on Oversight was called to order by Chair Steven Johnson. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Steven Johnson, Outman, Hoitenga, Reilly, O'Malley, Wozniak, Brixie, LaGrand, Young. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Wozniak moved to adopt the meeting minutes from October 21, 2021. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5187 and HB 5188 before the committee: HB 5187 (Rep. Fink) A bill to amend 1976 PA 390, entitled "Emergency management act," by amending sections 3 and 5 (MCL 30.403 and 30.405), section 3 as amended by 2002 PA 132 and section 5 as amended by 2006 PA 545. HB 5188 (Rep. Outman) A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled "Public health code," by amending sections 2253 and 2453 (MCL 333.2253 and 333.2453), section 2253 as amended by 2006 PA 157. Representative Fink and Representative Outman, testified in support of HB 5187 and HB 5188. Questions and discussion followed.
