ROGER HAUCK CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, November 2, 2021 10:30 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Committee on Regulatory Reform was called to order by Chair Hauck. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Hauck, Hoitenga, Bellino, Hall, Mueller, Wendzel, Clements, Damoose, Outman, Hertel, Yancey, Witwer, Steenland, Young. Absent: Rep. Garza. Excused: Rep. Garza. Representative Bellino moved to adopt the meeting minutes from October 26, 2021. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid before the committee a presentation by Kristan Sayers, President, and Mike Sarafa, Board Director, of the Michigan Association of Beauty Professionals. Questions and discussion followed. The Chair laid HB 5055 before the committee: HB 5055 (Rep. Posthumus) A bill to amend 2016 PA 407, entitled "Skilled trades regulation act," by amending section 223 (MCL 339.5223), as added by 2021 PA 24, and by adding section 224. Representative Posthumus testified in support of HB 5055. Questions and discussion followed.
