HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON TRANSPORTATION REP. JACK O'MALLEY CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, January 18, 2022 10:30 AM Room 521, House Office Building The House Committee on Transportation was called to order by the Chair O'Malley. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. O'Malley, Eisen, Howell, Griffin, Berman, Carra, Roth, Sneller, Clemente, Shannon, Liberati, Puri. Absent: Rep. LaFave. Excused: None. Representatives Eisen, Howell, Griffin, Berman, Carra, Clemente, Shannon, Liberati and Puri joined the committee remotely. The Chair laid HB 5315 before the committee: HB 5315 (Rep. Damoose) A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled "The Michigan penal code," by amending section 552c (MCL 750.552c), as added by 2005 PA 305. Representative Damoose, testified in support of HB 5315. Troy Hagon and Kim Nowack, representing the Mackinac Bridge Authority, testified in support of HB 5315. Questions and discussion followed. Melissa M. Goodrich, representing the Cheboygan County Prosecutor, testified in support of HB 5315. The following people submitted a card in support of HB 5315, but did not wish to speak: Patrick Gleason, representing the Mackinac Bridge Authority.
