MIKE MUELLER CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, January 26, 2022 2:10 PM Room 308, House Office Building The House Committee on Government Operations was called to order by Chair Mueller. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Mueller, VanWoerkom, Hauck, Rabhi. Absent: Rep. Cherry. Excused: Rep. Cherry. Representative Hauck moved to adopt the meeting minutes from December 8, 2021. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5084 and HB 5682 before the committee: HB 5084 (Rep. Frederick) A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled "The Michigan penal code," by amending section 81d (MCL 750.81d), as amended by 2006 PA 517. HB 5682 (Rep. Mueller) A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled "The Michigan penal code," by amending sections 81, 81a, and 82 (MCL 750.81, 750.81a, and 750.82), section 81 as amended by 2016 PA 87, section 81a as amended by 2012 PA 366, and section 82 as amended by 1994 PA 158. At 2:10 PM, the Chair laid the committee at ease. At 2:11 PM, Majority Vice Chair VanWoerkom called the committee back to order. Chair Mueller and Representative Frederick explained the bills.
